West side

Since I have difficulty getting to the club meetings, I'll share here.

Was wondering what you guys think of trying to make the west side of the field/pits/sitting area more attractive. Seems most people instinctively head to the east side of the field and can get crowded at times. We have a lot of space so we may as well use it. Just wondering what we could do to make the west side more appealing to all.
Any thoughts?

I think the west side is open to all at any time, but is not used as much due to the prevailing winds? Also the boys sometimes use the starting stand to do minor work, and sometimes use up a fair amount of time. But all in all sometimes you have to wait at Tim Hortons also. This is my thoughts.

How about a roof extending off the club house to the fence and a 3/4 length full height fence on the west side? Add little landscaping and voila!! We just doubled our usable lounging/prep areas.

Maybe we can get the college kids to do it and we supply the materials. Same way the outhouse was built.
