Yes Al is correct it's propane/air start, than runs on kero or jet a-1 with 5% turbine oil mixture. Here ya go Al some more playing and the startup is much quicker now that there is more propane to get the EGT up. I was out flying my L-39 today it's about 5 degrees and no wind. I was actually flying it in a new residental lot with no houses yet, it was quite fun going between and under the power lines www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryCiXJm_B7owww.youtube.com/watch?v=qLcCUERRbzE

Al, thats awesome ! I went to Avalon yesterday, i saw that I could get pontoons ($40)to attach to the plane and they work on snow as well, the only thing was he said i would need a bigger motor ($120).

How did it go Paul??? I had my foam twin EDF up a couple weeks ago, short flights of about 4 minutes. I broke a leg on landing... It is ready to go again, just waiting for a nice day that I don't have to work.

Al i never got up the weather did not cooperate. How does the foamy fly? I would still like to get one like that. I did a Taxi test last thursday evening out in a big empty parking lot outside of the city, It spools up really fast and tracks well the brakes are a great feature as well ;D

The foamy flew OK, spent most of the flight getting it trimmed out. It looks great in the sky. Landings are a bit different and the gear seems delicate. But with more time I am sure it will be fine. One 4 minute flight does not give a person much time to feel it out.
