I think that unit would be great! I like the large display, some of them have such small text you need reading glasses to see it. The cost is good too. I wonder if anyone in the club has enough pull to approve such a purchase between meetings? It only costs $70.00. Al

I think the weather station would be a nice addition, Does it need a 110 volt source? If yes then we have a problem as we have no city power.

All it needs Ray is 4 AA batteries that can last up to 12 months.

When we are out at the field we may be able to move the display to the Sun Shelter too!

It seems like a good week to order this. Maybe it will be here by the time the snow clears up. Just give me the word and I will order. It only takes one.

One person to say that it will be good enough. The weather station that is.

From all I have read about it, it sounds like it would do just fine. When the temp gets down to freezing it may not work so good but none of the cheaper units will. We have had 4 voters that want it so if you are game, I say go for it ( ;)easy for me to say, it's not my cash )! Thanks Dave, Al.

What it doesn't have is a snow depth gauge. But from being out at the field tonight I can tell you 2-2 1/2 ft drifts in the sun shelter and the infield. I did manage to find a place on the runway to land the Piper. I will order this up tomorrow.

They had a special on 2 of them for 99 bucks, so I thought what the heck. The second can be for sale if someone wants it. Would be 1/2 the cost plus 1/2 the shipping for a total of 65 bucks. Or could the second one be used out there some how?

Weather station looks good Dave...Cub skis sound good. I think you might just have some of those.

I noticed they had one with metric conversion so I tried to re-order but it has already been sent out. I was told that I could send it back but would have 2 more shipping fees. That would cost as much as these 2.
